The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has finally released the NEET PG 2026 admit card on the official portal of NBEMS on 25 August 2026. As the annual postgraduate medical entrance exam gets closer and closer, thousands of medical graduates in India are trying hard to log in to the portal in order to download their hall ticket for the exam. The NEET PG 2026 exam is scheduled for August 30, 2026, this year, and this time there are some essential changes to the structure of the exam, such as conducting the exam in one shift only at more than 1,300 test centres all over India.
NEET PG Exam 2026 is a computer-based examination conducted on a national level for admission in postgraduate medical studies in various medical institutes. There were some changes made to the current structure of the examination. These changes include a decrease in the total number of questions from 200 to 180 and division of the 3.5-hour examination paper into five time-bound sections.

How To Download NEET PG Admit Card 2026?

Those who are going to appear for NEET PG 2026 are able to download their admit card online from the official website of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). In order to download the hall ticket, candidates need to go to natboard.edu.in and then navigate to the NEET PG 2026 link. From there, candidates need to find the admit card link or candidate login link and click on it. After clicking, candidates have to enter the application number, date of birth, password, etc. The NEET PG 2026 admit card will be displayed on the screen. Check all the details like name, photograph, date of examination, reporting time, test centre location, etc. Download the hall ticket and keep it saved for future use. It is also suggested that candidates should make multiple prints of the admit card and carry it along with other required documents.

NEET PG 2026 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The examination pattern for NEET PG 2026 comprises 180 objective-type questions which will carry a total of 720 marks. The time allowed to finish the test is 3 hours and 30 minutes, consisting of five parts, each having 36 questions. The marking system gives 4 marks per correct answer and deducts 1 mark per incorrect answer.

NEET PG Exam Day Guidelines for 2026

The NEET PG exam day guidelines that should be followed by the candidates while going to give the exam. The guidelines are mandated by the NBEMS in order to ensure the transparency and efficient conduct of the NEET PG exam. 

• Documents Mandatory: The candidates have to carry along with them an original copy of the NEET Admit Card together with their identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, etc., along with their passport-size photograph.
• Reporting and Gate Time: Candidates have to report themselves at the exam centre much before the specified reporting time on the hall ticket; no late entry will be entertained under any condition.  
• Guidelines for Dress Code: Candidates are required to wear simple dresses of light colour having half sleeves only. Dresses that have big buttons, heavy embroidery, full sleeves, and fancy dresses are not allowed.  
• Guidelines for Footwear: Candidates are not supposed to wear closed-toe shoes inside the examination hall but are required to wear open toe shoes such as slippers and low heeled sandals.  
• Prohibited Fashion Accessories and Jewellery: The use of ornaments, heavy jewellery, rings, bracelets, badges, and watches is not allowed in the examination hall.
• Prohibited Gadgets: The use of mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, listening devices, etc. is completely forbidden in the examination hall.
• Stationery and Study Material: No candidate is permitted to take any literature with him/her while taking the exam.
